2 Corinthians - Chapter 12 Summary:

In 2 Corinthians chapter 12, Paul shares a profound spiritual experience where he was caught up to the "third heaven," but he refrains from boasting about it. Instead, he highlights a "thorn in the flesh" given to him to prevent pride, which he prayed three times to be removed. God responded that His grace is sufficient, and His power is perfected in weakness. Paul takes pride in his weaknesses because they reveal Christ's strength in him. He expresses concern for the Corinthians, defending his apostolic authority while emphasizing that his ministry is for their benefit. Paul fears finding strife and unrepentant sin among them and urges self-examination and spiritual readiness.
