Kanda, Kodža i Nebojša - Prekidi stvarnosti

The band Kanda, Kodža i Nebojša (KKN) was formed in 1991 in Belgrade, and original lineup included Oliver Nektarijević (vocals), Vladislav Rac (bass guitar), Rastko Lupulović (electric guitar), and Stevan Dimitrijević (drums).
The band’s name originated when the members, while reading some old translations of Dostoevsky’s novels, took the archaic words "kanda" (perhaps) and "kodža" (a lot), while the name Nebojša belonged to a child who lived in the same apartment block as Lupulović.

Their first studio album, "Guarda Toma!", was released in 1996 under Metropolis Records and is a mix of studio-recorded tracks and live recordings from concerts held in 1995 at Dom Omladine, KST, and Bitef. Shortly after, Rastko Lupulović left KKN to join a monastic order in the Dečani Monastery, and Ivan Topisirović Top took over as the guitarist.

The second studio album, titled "Igračka plačka", was released in 1998 under B92. The album was partially politically charged, as reflected not only in its title but especially in the song "Proći će i njihovo" (“Their Time Will Pass Too”). Reflecting the socio-political climate of the time, the album had a calmer and darker tone compared to its predecessor.

Their third studio album, "Become" (B92, 2000), was almost entirely sung in English (the exception being the song "Izlazim"). Musically, the band noticeably shifted towards reggae and acid jazz, incorporating new instruments such as violin, piano, trombone, flute, and jaw harp.
Following lineup changes, KKN continued their creative evolution with albums like "Prekidi stvarnosti" (2005), "Deveti život" (2008), and "Manifest" (2011).

In October 2014, the band released their seventh studio album, "Volja za noć". The title is a wordplay on Nietzsche's manuscript "The Will to Power".
Following "Volja za noć", they released "Uskoro" (2019) and "Beton" (2022), release in which Oliver’s wandering through mists and staggering across the Champs-Élysées toward love is punctuated by solo sections from Janko Mostarlić and Nenad Pejović, who are largely responsible for KKN’s transformation from a reggae-funk band in its early days to arguably the best guitar-based band in the Balkans.
