Clinton Hill In Brooklyn, NY Walking Tour

I toured around Clinton Hill in Brooklyn, NY. Clinton Hill is a small neighborhood in north-central Brooklyn that's bordered by Brooklyn Navy Yard, Williamsburg, Fort Greene Park, Prospect Heights, Crown Heights, and Bedford-Stuyvesant. The neighborhood's European history began in the 1640s, when Dutch colonists laid tobacco plantations near Wallabout Bay. Bedford Corners, situated just southeast of Clinton Hill, was incorporated in 1663, and the settlers (both Dutch and French Huguenot) purchased surrounding lands from the native Lenape in 1670. In the late 1860s after the Civil War, Clinton Hill was developed with row houses, which dominated the street scene by the 1880s. These houses attracted affluent professionals, affluent families and residents. The Clinton Hill Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The district includes the mansions of Clinton Avenue, built in the 1870s and 1880s.

Clinton Hill's population has around +28,600 people. The race breakdown demographics makes up 46.6% White, 26% Black (African-American, Caribbean etc.), 13% Hispanic/Latino (Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Mexicans, Colombians, Ecuadorians, Venezuelans etc.), 9.7% Asian (Asian-American, Chinese, Indian, Pakistanis, some Arabs etc.), 4.4% Mixed race/two or more races, and 0.3% other races. Clinton Hill is currently gentrifying in north Brooklyn, due to the population growth of middle and upper class people moving in, racial demographics are changing with more whites, more latinos and less blacks, a changing part of the community having a loss on its culture, rising rent, and new developments in this neighborhood. It is closer to Downtown Brooklyn and Williamsburg, so of course it's recently gentrifying. You can find two Biggie Smalls (Notorious B.I.G.) murals in Clinton Hill. You can also find a Frida Kahlo mural in this area. The most common attraction of Clinton Hill would be the Fort Greene Park to visit.

Clinton Hill is a safe neighborhood, but be aware and definitely be careful of the recent migrant shelter on 313 Park Avenue, because there are illegal immigrants staying there at the time I'm making this video. There are over 4,000 migrants sent there during the Biden administration, which is a horrible mistake to have them here and these migrants have less plans to be in America. They were sent here illegally. Having illegal immigrants come into an "open border" country is already a big mess. When Trump gets in office soon, he will deport the largest number of illegal migrants that are expected to leave shortly. Although, Clinton Hill is safe at all times. Sometimes, crime can take place in this neighborhood. The rate of crime in Clinton Hill is 64.60 per 1,000 residents during a standard year. Although, it's not too high like the most dangerous neighborhoods in New York, such as Brownsville, East New York, Ocean Hill, some Bronx areas, and Southeast Queens.
