Move to the Pulse (remix)

Ah, Move to the Pulse. That one takes me right back to the early 2000s, when I was in the heart of the clubbing scene, living out of a suitcase and chasing the next electric moment. I remember one summer night in Berlin, at a club so underground you could feel the trains rumbling above as the bassline kicked in. It was a place where language barriers melted under strobe lights and sweat, where the only conversation was the rhythm of your body against the beat.

That night, I met a DJ who went by "Pulse." She was magnetic—her sets were like sermons, and the crowd hung on her every transition. After her set, we got talking in a corner lit only by the neon glow of the bar. She told me her philosophy: “The pulse is primal. Before we danced, we drummed. Before we drummed, our hearts beat. Everything comes back to the pulse.” That stuck with me.

I wrote Move to the Pulse the very next morning in my hotel room, the muffled bass from the club still vibrating in my ears. I wanted to capture that raw, animalistic connection—the way the beat bypasses thought and taps directly into instinct. The lyrics flowed in a stream of consciousness, inspired by the hypnotic energy of that night, the glow of Berlin, and Pulse herself.
