Turning to the war in Ukraine.
Russia has launched its largest-ever drone attack on Ukraine, causing substantial damage.
Moscow also vows retaliation after Ukraine hit Russia with American missiles twice last week.

Russia launched a massive drone attack on Ukraine overnight on Monday and Tuesday, causing damage to residential buildings, and power outages in various areas, according to The Guardian.
Russia flew 1-hundred-88 drones mostly in parts of western Ukraine against various targets.
The Ukrainian Air Force said in a statement that "there were hits to critical infrastructure facilities, and private apartment buildings were damaged in several areas due to the attack.”

Russia's largest drone attack since its invasion of Ukraine led to power outages there. The governor of Western Ternopil, Vyacheslav Nehoda, said that about 70% of the region was without power, adding that significant damage to facilities "will have an impact on power supplies to the entire region for a long time." Several buildings were also damaged around Kyiv, but there were no casualties reported. It has been reported that the Ukrainian Air Force shot down 76 of the drones.

While Russia has vowed “retaliatory actions” for Ukrainian strikes on military targets inside Russia using U.S. long-range missiles, its forces are pushing hard along the front line in the east of Ukraine.
Ukraine hit Russia with U.S.-made ATACMS twice over the last three days, both targeting Russian forces' positions in the Kursk region.
In the second attack on Monday, one missile out of eight reached its target, wounding two soldiers, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

In the meantime, an unnamed official from the U.S. Department of Defense officially confirmed to RFA's Korean service on Tuesday that casualties among North Korean troops occurred in the Kursk region of Russia last week following a Ukrainian attack using British Storm Shadow missiles.
