49 year old McColl, South Carolina Mayor George Garner II died from injuries in head on collision with 18 wheeler while being "pursued" by Marlboro County deputies that claimed the pursuit was to “protect” Garner’s “well-being.”

He had just won re-election in a town of 2000 and the Police chief along with 4 police officers, the entire police force quit due to problems with Garner and the city council
