There is practically no rotation on firing positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. AFU officers take seriously wounded people only. There are not enough people.

'Territorial Center of Recruitment and Social Support officers threatened to take the child to the front line. They gave me a draft notice and then mobilised me. On 23 September we were taken to Kursk region, and until 1 November I was on a firing position. All this time we were severely bombed, there were practically no rotations, only seriously wounded people were taken from the positions, and there was a catastrophic shortage of people. I was not healthy but they sent me there with high temperature and bronchitis anyway. They didn't take me away until the very end. We even wanted to run away from the position, because there was nothing at all. The commanders threatened us, saying that if we even left the position we would not be redeployed, we would be shot down by our own troops. We just had no place to go,' said the POW.
