The Belle Starr Story ( aka Il mio corpo per un poker) is a 1968 Italian episodic Spaghetti Western. It is a Bonnie and Clyde type film, co-written and co-directed by Lina Wertmüller. Elsa Martinelli, stars as Belle Starr and also sings the title song.The Belle Starr Story is the only Spaghetti Western the has been directed by a woma. In addition, it is one of the few films that stars a woman in the title role. The movie is about Belle Starr (Elsa Martinelli) who is a successful gambling woman. Belle gains the interest of fellow gambler. Larry Blackie (George Eastman) who goes on to win her money, and her ring.
