This is my first time out with the new pack. I loaded it up as if I would be camping for a week. Full of gear, tools, food, and water it weighed 42 lbs. I am pleased to report that it carries marvelously with no discomfort.
This purpose of this outing is to scout a few new areas to see what kind of resources are available. I look to build a permanent camp soon and I want to make sure the location I select has everything I need. This will be an elaborate camp build so I want to make sure it's in a good location.
I spent a good portion of the first day hiking then stumbled across a nice location where I set up my camp for the night. Rain clouds were moving in so I set up my tarp first in a rather hurried fashion. I made my bed, got water, and cooked up a simple meal before relaxing by the fire with my pipe. I woke up early in the morning and broke camp without restarting the fire. I had a lot more hiking and scouting to do so I decided not to slow myself down by filming it.
Thank you to all who watch. God bless.
