The record for distance covered in 24 hours has been broken again!

The evening was intense in the Vendée Globe. Between the 7 pm and 11 pm check-ins, the record has been broken several times! Nicolas Lunven, with 554.55 miles, then Charlie Dalin, with 558.82 miles, then Thomas Ruyant, with 571.59 miles, and finally Yoann Richomme, with 574.71 miles, or 1063 km, the equivalent of Les Sables d'Olonne to Lisbon, as the crow flies! This should continue for a good part of the night

Anthony Marchand, the French skipper of Actual, Ultim 3, who completed his first solo round the world race last winter, as part of the Arkéa Ultim Challenge, and took part in The Ocean Race in 2023, aboard the Imoca Bio-therm, alongside Paul Meilhat, Sam Davies, and Damien Seguin, gives his take on the current situation in the South Atlantic and more generally on this tenth edition of the Vendée Globe.
