Immigration Minister Marc Miller after Opposition leader Pierre Poilievre pointed out the Trudeau Liberals' weak track record on border security deflected by telling Poilievre to "grow a pair."

Miller "hallucinates almost as badly as his weak leader, who refuses to stand and answer for his own border failures," said Poilievre Thursday during Question Period.

"What's the plan to fix what he broke?"

Miller stood up and claimed a video exists of Poilievre "pandering to people" and "promising visas to everyone."

He then brought up once again a favourite Liberal talking point on how Poilievre is refusing to get his security clearance, despite the Tory leader earlier saying he hasn't gone through the clearance because of the gag order attached to it.

"That is irresponsible for any purported leader of this country," said Miller.

"He needs to grow a pair. Get the briefing."

Chaos erupted in the House.

Speaker Greg Fergus asked Miller to withdraw his words.

Miller: "I withdraw those words."

Poilievre: "That once again shows the erratic, out-of-control government we have over there. The prime minister is hiding from questions, his minister is losing control of his words...and his mind."

"This is a government that has fallen to pieces."
