Hey everyone, Mikeybuns here with a calming quote to ease your mind as you head into the holiday weekend:

Life can be stressful sometimes, especially around the holidays. Maybe you're worried about family gatherings, feeling overwhelmed with to-do lists, or just feeling a little anxious about the unknown. That's okay! It's normal to have these feelings.

But here's the thing: sometimes the best thing you can do is simply take a deep breath and trust the process. Overthinking and obsessing won't change the future, it will just make you feel more stressed.

In recovery, this is especially important! There will be times when cravings hit, triggers arise, or life throws a curveball ⚾️. Instead of panicking, take a few deep breaths and focus on grounding yourself in the present moment. Remember your coping mechanisms, reach out for support from your sponsor or therapist, and trust that you have the strength to overcome any challenge.

✅️Here are 3 fresh tips to have a more positive & Purposeful day!

1. PRACTICE MINDFULNESS. Mindfulness is all about being present in the moment and observing your thoughts and feelings without judgment. There are tons of great mindfulness apps out there that can help you get started. Taking just a few minutes each day to practice mindfulness can make a big difference in your stress levels.
2. FOCUS ON GRATITUDE. Take a few minutes each day to reflect on the things you're grateful for, big or small. Your health, your supportive family, or even a delicious cup of coffee – these things can help you shift your focus to the positive!
3. SPEND TIME IN NATURE. Getting outside and connecting with nature is a powerful way to reduce stress and boost your mood. Take a walk in the park, go for a hike, or simply sit outside and breathe the fresh air.

Remember, sometimes the best thing you can do is simply trust the journey! Take a deep breath, focus on the present moment, and have faith that everything will work out for the best.
