Seoul faces unusually heavy snow amid a harsh winter

More than 40 cm (16 inches) of snow piled up in parts of Seoul by 8 a.m. on Thursday (2300 GMT on November 27), causing disruptions across the country. The winter snowfall was the third-heaviest in Seoul since records began in 1907, the Yonhap news agency said, citing data from the city.
