Your "news" that most likely everybody already knows...yeah, leave that at home.

And I'm not talking about sneaky gossip. I'm talking about the story of the day, or the week, or the month that has made it's rounds on social media or wherever. It doesn't sound more important just because it comes from you or me.

We're probably not the first to know and we probably won't be the first to let someone else know. It's okay. That's not what we should be so eager to share anyway. If this is the last chance you get to have a meaningful conversation with family, wouldn't you want to spend this time talking about more important things?

Try this instead:
👉 Ask your family how they've been
👉 Talk about the Lord
👉 Play games
👉 Compliment the cooks
