Dumb-Hounded (1943)

Directed by Tex Avery, is a landmark animated short introducing Droopy, the slow-moving yet clever dog who would become a beloved MGM character. The cartoon follows Droopy as he relentlessly pursues a cunning escaped convict, no matter how far or fast the criminal tries to flee.
