🎙Chris Williamson:

⚡️✔️ 🇬🇧“A parliamentary petition calling for another general election has surpassed 2.5 million signatures in just a few days. and it's on course to be the biggest parliamentary petition in history.”

🚫2️⃣0️⃣ “It illustrates the level of dissatisfaction across the political spectrum with Sir Keir Starmer's so called Labour government, that won a landslide parliamentary majority with less than 20% of the public voting for them.”

💬“I spoke to some Labour organisers shortly after the election and they were pretty smug about gaming Britain's first past the post electoral system. They thought it was a clever campaign strategy to win the election with the lowest share of the vote since the franchise was extended in 1918.”

⏳“But that means Starmer's majority is built on sand. And the agenda his government is pursuing has resulted in the shortest ever honeymoon period for an incoming government.”

🤔🚫 “Of course, Starmer and his Cabinet cronies insist that their unpopularity is down to them making what they call 'difficult decisions' early on in their administration. Implying that there'll be some jam tomorrow. but that'll be like waiting for Godot, because the policies they're pursuing are incapable of producing any jam.”
