This film is a documentary-style drama on the training of an aerial rear gunner in World War II. Actor Burgess Meredith stars as Private PeeWee Williams, a Kansas farm boy who, through rigorous training, transformed his home-grown shooting skills into those necessary to an aerial gunner in the tail turret of an American bomber. The film also features Ronald Reagan in a supporting role.
