IDF: Shaldag Unit Special Forces Located and Dismantled Hundreds of Rockets, Underground Compounds, and Numerous Weapons in Southern Lebanon

As part of a joint operation by the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, the Golani Reconnaissance Battalion, and the Shaldag Unit, the Shaldag special forces operated against terror targets for the first time in the area of the Litani River in southern Lebanon. The Shaldag Unit operated to locate and destroy Hezbollah terrorist compounds, which had been used in recent months to launch dozens of terrorist attacks against the State of Israel. During the activity, the troops raided several targets above and below ground. They located, investigated, and destroyed underground terrorist infrastructure, as well as hundreds of short- and long-range rockets, multi-barrel launchers ready to fire at Israel, underground compounds stocked with combat equipment, equipment for prolonged stays, and weapons storage facilities.
