Young actors put new spin on Shakespeare

Leave it to young people to put some pizzazz into Shakespeare. These high school kids are putting together a production of Taming of the Shrew . Offered through Peace of the City's Shakespeare Comes to 716. According to producer and founder Diann Takens "we believe our young people bring the most authenticity to a theatre role because that's just who they are developmentally." This version of the Bard's "battle of the sexes" will be performed at Shea's Smith Theatre Thursday through Saturday June 28th through 30th. Admission is "pay what you can".
