Michael Fish's NBC26 Storm Shield weather forecast
Here comes the heat and humidity today with highs in the upper-80s & sunshine. With winds that won't be that strong, it may cool down a bit near Lake Michigan as the day progresses. There will be a slight chance of an afternoon T'storm north near a weak frontal boundary. Tonight, there also will be a slight chance of a T'storm, mainly north, but most of the night will just be warm and muggy. There's going to be a chance for a thunderstorm on Friday morning with a warm front lifting north. It will be windy and becoming mostly sunny as we move into the afternoon. Highs will be in the low-90s with heat indices going over 100° away from Lake Michigan. The only thing is that if there is a morning T'storm with clouds, it might hamper temperatures a little. Get ready for widespread 90s on Saturday as well. Dew points will climb into the 70s pushing heat index values over 100°. There will also be the chance for a few thunderstorms, especially Saturday night. Any storms that do develop could be strong/severe with locally heavy rain. The chance for storms will continue in to Sunday. The heat & humidity will continue through next week with 80s.
