Heavy rain fell in some districts of Manavgat and Serik. Due to the rain, several greenhouses in the Manavgat-Yavrudogan and Serik-Belkis districts were flooded. Residents attempted to drain the water accumulated in the greenhouses using their own resources. Roads and schools were also heavily flooded. In Serik, 125.7 mm of rain fell in just 24 hours.

Since the early morning of November 22, heavy rains have been falling in Maracaibo, the capital of Zulia State, causing significant consequences. Floods have affected major roads, paralyzed traffic, and led to the destruction of homes. Water levels in rivers and streams have risen significantly, increasing the risk of further flooding. The bridge over Lake Maracaibo has been closed for safety reasons due to strong currents. The emergency department of the university hospital and the city’s cathedral have been flooded.

Continuous rainfall brought by the approach of the first cold front of the 2024-2025 season has caused damage in several parts of the country, leading to overflowing streams, landslides, and flooded streets.

According to data from multiple seismic databases (IRIS, ISC, USGS, EMCS, and VolcanoDiscovery), seismic events with magnitudes of 4.0 to 4.9 have been recorded worldwide even before 1995, indicating the presence of seismic sensors in those areas. Since 1995, there has been an increase in both the number and the extent of areas with high seismic activity, as well as the emergence of new regions with significant earthquake occurrences.
