On January 8, 1835, President Andrew Jackson paid off the United States National debt entirely. It was the only time in U.S. history that the national debt stood at zero. He viciously and courageously opposed the central banks of his time. Many believe this was one of the reasons he was shot and nearly killed.

Just hours before Trump was almost assassinated he brought up that he considered himself in the company of both Andrew Jackson and Abraham Lincoln as the most persecuted Presidents in history. How fitting that right before he was about to enter the lone gunman club, Trump brought up two presidents who were shot for being way too over the target in their missions. Now Trump has surrounded himself with people who are making it their mission to eliminate the fat in government bureaucracy and end the debt.
