Alton Glenn Miller was the best-selling recording artist in the world, 1939 to 1942, as the leader of the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
Maj. Glenn Miller joined the American Army Air Forces Band, in 1944, in order to contribute to the American war effort.
14 DEC 1944 on a flight to Paris, he and his aircraft disappeared over the English Channel.
80 years later, the theories are still debated. Steve Stockton and I take a look back at some of the rumors and theories and see if we are any closer to knowing what happened on that freezing night over the English Channel.
