Russian forces have launched a large-scale assault on Ukraine’s airfields and strategic sites. According to the Russian Ministry of Defence, the attack resulted in the destruction of several Ukrainian aircraft and military equipment, including a MiG-29 jet fighter from the Ukrainian Air Force. At least 50 pieces of equipment were destroyed in just a few hours. The assault has also claimed the lives of at least 1,500 Ukrainian soldiers. This marks a significant escalation in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
