US vetoes UN Security Council resolution on Gaza ceasefire

The United States vetoed a UN Security Council resolution for a ceasefire in Israel's war in Gaza on November 20. The resolution demanded an “immediate, unconditional and permanent” ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The US voted down the measure while the 14 other members of the council voted in favour.
