Shooting training, land navigation, and medicine as aspects of Zapad assault detachments training

Reconnaissance and assault units of a combined arms army (Zapad Group of Forces) before being deployed to the front line have combat and team training in the rear.

Practice is supervised by battle-tried instructors and officers. The servicemen prepare the personnel to assault foxholes, trenches, reinforced areas, and strongholds. Land navigation is an important phase of drills. They pay great attention to the tactical medicine.
