Pixie is a Caucasian Ovcharka, also known as the Caucasian Shepherd or Russian Bear Dog. These first 30 videos with Pixie are a vlog-style series so they will make sense if watched in order.

I picked up my 5-month-old Caucasian Ovcharka, Pixie today! We went straight to the vet, Riverside Pet Care, for her 2nd round of shots. Dr. Kolbaba and the rest of the staff were amazing! They spoiled her with Easy Cheese (or some other brand of spray cheese in a can) and showed me how to check her ears and clip her nails. She took her shots like a champ! She didn't like getting her nails trimmed but she'll get used to it. She weighs 49 lbs. I had to carry her in and out of my SUV, the vet, and into her new home.

When I uploaded these videos, they were five months old, so while I am open to suggestions, I have learned a thing or two since recording them. If you watch more of my videos, you'll see my progress.

The Caucasian Ovcharka is a livestock guardian dog breed originally from the Caucasus Mountains area at the intersection of Asia and Europe. I got Pixie when she was 5 months old. I use a balanced training approach with her. I feed her Tucker's Raw dog food, OC Raw turkey necks, and Idahound green tripe which I buy from Ma & Paws Bakery in American Fork, UT. I also feed her chicken feet and rabbit paws that I buy from Pine Hollow Farms in Bluffdale, UT.
