Plant of the Week - Shadow Peashooter - was offered between November 23, 2024 through November 30, 2024.

Shadow Peashooter is a member of the Conceal-Mint family.
Shadow Peashooter costs 125 Sun. (-25 Sun at level 6.)
When unpowered, Shadow Peashooter fires a dark pea which does 30 damage. (+5 damage per level.)
When powered, Shadow Peashooter fires a dark laser which does 70 damage to all zombies in the lane.
When given plant food, if there are two (2) or fewer Moonflowers on the lawn, Shadow Peashooter will fire two (2) dark peas at the closest zombies in the lane, dealing 500 damage. (+50 damage per level.)
When given plant food, if there are three (3) or more Moonflowers on the lawn, Shadow Peashooter will let loose a dark spirit which will explode over the entire lawn, dealing 500 to all zombies on the lawn. (+50 damage per level.)
When powered, Shadow Peashooter will “hide” underground and swallow normal sized zombies which walk over it. This can happen two (2) times before defeating Shadow Peashooter. (+1 zombie on levels 5 and 9.)

Commentary:
This is a solid addition to the Conceal-Mint family. Decent long range damage which affects all zombies. Can act as a last stand defense on column 1 or an Imp eater on column 3 - although we do not recommend that as when Shadow Peashooter hides, it is also not firing.

Bottom Line:
It's a decent plant in a decent family of plants. There are better plants and better families; but you won't be making critical mistakes with this plant or this family either.
