DISNEY Expects to Cancel AHSOKA After Season 2 | STAR WARS Future Plans Up in the Air

Lucasfilm is planning to cancel their Disney+ Star Wars series, Ahsoka, after the shows second season according to the latest rumors coming out of Disney.

The series and character of Ahsoka is the brain child of Lucasfilm’s Chief Creative Officer, Dave Filoni. He was appointed to that position after Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy seemed to mishandle the overall Star Wars brand. It’s unlikely Filoni would let Ahsoka go if given any say, so if Disney expect to axe it that’s a real sign, they don’t expect it to perform. This makes sense considering the viewership for the first season was significantly lower than other Star Wars Disney+ series that were considered bombs.
