Thousands of Colombians marched in downtown Bogota and other cities, calling for President Gustavo Petro's removal. Protestors oppose his health and labour system reforms and distrust his past as a rebel fighter. Right-wing parties mobilised fewer supporters than in April. At a recent event, Petro criticised the demonstrators but pledged to guarantee their rights. The opposition believes these protests will put pressure on Petro’s government. Opposition Senator Miguel Uribe claims Petro is losing support and harming the country. Polls indicate 70% of Colombians think the country is on the wrong path, showing deep division.
