How Big is The Universe (2)
The size of the universe is a fascinating and mind-boggling concept. Currently, the observable universe is about **93 billion light-years** in diameter. This means that the furthest distance we can observe (due to the speed of light and the finite time since the Big Bang) is about 46.5 billion light-years in any direction from Earth.
However, the **true size** of the universe may be much larger—and it could even be infinite. We can't see beyond the observable universe because light from those regions hasn't had enough time to reach us. Moreover, the universe has been expanding since the Big Bang, and it's possible that regions of space exist far beyond what we can observe.
In short, the universe is vast and continually expanding, and its total size remains one of the most profound mysteries in science.
