Our fall getaway to Chincoteague, Virginia, was filled with coastal charm and natural beauty. We enjoyed peaceful walks along the beach, took in stunning sunsets, and embarked on a memorable sunset boat cruise that offered close views of wild ponies and the iconic Chincoteague Lighthouse. At Assateague National Seashore, we spotted a wild pony grazing by the roadside and saw other wild ponies from afar. We explored the rich history of the Chincoteague Museum, strolled through the quaint historic downtown at sunset, and climbed to the top of the lighthouse for breathtaking views before heading home. Along the way, we savored delicious crab cakes and marveled at the wonders of NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility. It was the perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and local flavor.
