Big Tuna Dreams Season 4 Episode 1 - Attempted Piracy on the High Seas

Hey guys, welcome back to my channel! As many of you are realizing, I am a USCG licensed Captain and I am running both freshwater and saltwater personal training sessions!

Today we kick off Season 4 of #BigTunaDreams running 90 miles offshore in one of our charter boats, the Pathfinder 2600 HPS to target Giant Pacific Bluefin Tuna off the coast of California! These fish have been 100-250 lbs in size so we are utilizing the Kite and Balloon system to deploy a California Flying Fish to these giant tuna. Heavy gear is needed to land these big tuna swimming off the Southern California coast.

What we've been experiencing lately with boats coming into spots of feeding fish has been down right frustrating. As boat pressure definitely puts them down and in the scramble to push themselves into the schools of tuna, they are directly shooting themselves in the foot by spooking the fish. Ultimately nobody hooks up and nobody wins. We've been driving away from crowds and will only approach a foaming spot of tuna IF it is big enough to sustain multiple boats and only if we feel we are not impeding the other anglers.

STOP being selfish out there to the other captains and WORK TOGETHER, and we can all continue to find success. The way things have been lately have been insane and it needs to stop. Stop encroaching on boats that have position and either wait your turn or go find someone else.

These attempted acts of piracy on the high seas needs to come to an end.

California is an incredible place for fishing, and people are starting to see why!
