Russian Defense Ministry reports on repelling Armed forces of Ukraine attempt to invade Russian territory in Kursk region (22 November 2024)

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue the operation to neutralize an enemy group, which broke into the territory of Kursk region.

The Sever Group of Forces engaged various formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk direction.

Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, and artillery inflicted fire damage on enemy manpower and hardware in the Kursk and Sumy region.

Over the past 24 hours, the Armed forces of Ukraine have sustained losses of 150 troops, four motor vehicles, one artillery gun, and two mortars.

Since the beginning of hostilities in Kursk region, the Armed forces of Ukraine's losses have amounted to more than 34,690 troops, 215 tanks, 147 infantry fighting vehicles, 120 armoured personnel carriers, 1,190 armoured fighting vehicles, 992 motor vehicles, 297 artillery guns, 40 Multi Launch Rocket System launchers, including 11 of HIMARS and six of Multi Launch Rocket Systems made by the USA, 13 anti-aircraft missile launchers, seven transport-loading vehicles, 68 Electronic War stations, 13 counter-battery warfare radars, four air defense radars, 27 units of engineering and other material, including 13 counter obstacle vehicles, one UR-77 mine clearing vehicle, six armoured recovery vehicles, and one command post vehicle.

The operation to neutralise the Armed forces of Ukraine units is in progress.
