American Airlines to shame boarding line cutters with new technology

American Airlines has introduced new technology at over 100 U.S. airports to prevent passengers from boarding before their group is called.

Scanning a boarding pass prematurely triggers an alert and denies access.

The system, tested at select airports, will expand to hubs during the busy Thanksgiving travel period, as the airline expects 8.3 million passengers, CNBC has reported.
