I agree. I mean, trading honestly in California, guess who's gonna win? Oh, in California, Harris. Yeah, yeah, so, so, yeah, that
Unknown Speaker 0:07
was part of what I was thinking. But I don't want to put that
Speaker 1 0:09
you do out there. Yeah. I mean, the last poll I saw, it was like 60% I mean, it's, it's, it's not even, let me look real quick, so nationally, are you laughing at my glasses? How dare you? Let's see nationally. It's neck and neck. It's less than a percentage point apart, really. But then there's a lot of good news. It looks like Arizona Trump is ahead 1.7%
Unknown Speaker 0:42
Georgia, Trump's ahead by about a percent.
Unknown Speaker 0:46
South Carolina,
Speaker 1 0:49
Trump's ahead Virginia, Harris is ahead pretty significantly. Pennsylvania, let's look Pennsylvania, Trump's ahead by half a percent. Really you believe that North Carolina, he's ahead by 1% but we're looking for, I want to look at California real quick. Florida. He's ahead 51 to 44 he's he's going to take California or Florida, Texas. Texas is tighter than people think. Texas is 51 to 46%
Unknown Speaker 1:21
it's very purple.
Unknown Speaker 1:21
It's pretty purple. People think that.
Unknown Speaker 1:26
Okay, guess, guess what?
Unknown Speaker 1:27
How many? What's, what does Harris have in California?
Unknown Speaker 1:30
I guess, 2% No, no. How
Unknown Speaker 1:32
many Harris in California?
Speaker 2 1:34
Well, I'm saying two about delta, yeah, well,
Speaker 1 1:37
2% it's, way more than that.
Unknown Speaker 1:45
One more guess.
Speaker 1 1:48
Guess on the Delta, what's the, what's the percentage difference in California between Arizona?
Unknown Speaker 1:52
I'm gonna go 10 Trump, 24.7% really,
Unknown Speaker 1:57
she leads 59%
Unknown Speaker 1:58
to 34%
Unknown Speaker 2:00
so, you know, in the big you know, you
Speaker 2 2:02
got the huts, you got, you got San Francisco, San Diego, LA like I knew, but I was hoping, I'm just hoping, there might be strong numbers in the outliers and the more isolated parts of the state. Well,
Speaker 1 2:13
the thing to learn from that is, you know, that's why Trump is, well, that's why he lost the popular vote by so much. He really wouldn't have lost the popular vote if you remove California, or at least would have been a lot closer. California is where all that because it's all the same electoral votes, you know? But then there's, it's such an overwhelmingly big state, but I didn't realize it was that. I didn't realize she was getting this. Getting 60% so when you're walking around California and you're thinking yourself, gosh, it feels like six out of every 10 people is a weirdo here. Well, now you have
Unknown Speaker 2:55
five. Guess who number six is.
Speaker 1 2:57
Now you have statistical proof. Okay, what do we want to do next? Is Sam on? He's not on. Is he okay? So let's do the let's do the interview. Okay, so this is super interesting. A couple weeks ago, there was a Trump rally in Riverside County, and a guy got arrested. He was from out of state, and he got arrested for he had guns, and he was on his way going into the into the rally, and he was arrested by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, who were, they were working at least the outer perimeter and some, some of the inner perimeter of the of the event. And it was weird or interesting, at least a lot of the sheriff, who's Chad Bianco. Sheriff, Chad bianco, who is one of my and he's my favorite elected official, right? I mean, the guy is wonderful, and on Second Amendment, he is unapologetic, you know, no nonsense, second amendment, and he was getting criticized for arresting a guy with loaded guns, unregistered loaded guns in his car from out of state on his way to a Trump rally after two assassination attempts. And I thought, okay, you know what? I get it? It's California, if you don't, if you're not familiar with Riverside, if you're not familiar with Chad bianco, and you're looking from the outside in, you're probably thinking, well, it's just another anti gun right? Politician, you know? Et cetera, et cetera. So I'll tell you what. Let's keep that. Let's have Sam hold so I wanted to clear the air. Do we know
Unknown Speaker 4:39
what state he was coming from?
Speaker 1 4:42
Nevada? Well, there's a lot of kind of weirdness about this guy, right? I'd be honest, like uniqueness. I don't want to judge him, but there was a lot of uniqueness he had. He, well, I'm gonna have you listen to the interview. I wanted to bring the sheriff on and talk about it. I don't think that the criticism was exactly just. Fine, but I also understand where it's coming from. You know, if you don't know the situation, I could see how you would attack him. So I wanted to just get him on there, clear the air, get this figured out. So we recorded a an interview, and we're going to go ahead and give that a start. Go ahead. This is with Sheriff Riverside County, Chad, specifically, if someone is someone you know, not familiar with, Riverside County, the county where you're sure of, the county where somebody is from outside of California, looking in and they know California's reputation, and they know California's horrible gun laws that we fight against every day it, and they see a sheriff arresting a gun owner, you know, and that's that's the context in which they're looking at this incident, looking at this they wouldn't know that you're somebody who stood up for second amendment rights, Second Amendment. You're someone who and correct me if I'm wrong. You're someone who thinks, hey, it is. It is a better world if same train, law abiding gun owners are saying train law abiding people are able to own and carry guns for self defense, that's that's, that's your viewpoint, your view, 100% one, yeah, and you've, yeah, and you've, were one of the first elected officials, one of the only elected officials in California to come out California in support of Trump's very early sport. You endorsed him and support his campaign, and support his
Unknown Speaker 6:17
campaign. One, completely, yeah.
Speaker 3 6:19
You know, in, you know, since I've been the sheriff, I'm one of relatively only a few, certainly one of the regulars, one of the that are in Sacramento, standing up, standing for our Second Amendment rights. I can probably tell you that if I walk into a room with either our governor or governor, our attorney general, our Attorney General, you will not find another person in that room that they hate worse or more than me. I routinely to their face, call them out on their BS, call them out on the lies that they, that they tell Californians, the the horrible laws that they, that they want to pass, or that they are passing and and it's been, it's been constant for five years. So So truly, I really do believe I'm 100% for the Second Amendment, the But then along the same lines, and especially, I'm only talking about the big elephant in the room that we're here for about all we're here for about all. Truthfully, I'm going to say all of the idiots on social media that that really aren't from here, they don't know anything about here, but yet they want to be experts and and then just start, and then just blasting. And then everything goes viral and got more clicks because you said something that was really good. And then we get to a place where it's just not reality, and it's just not reality. And so for our reality here reality, we have gun laws. We and we enforce those gun laws, and some of those in this case. And I said this, and this is never going to be repeated by the media, but I said in a different scenario, that same deputy might have, just might have told that guy to get lost. But we weren't in it. But we were same scenario. We were in a specific situation of of a president coming to a rally and this guy trying to get guns into it. And regardless of what, somebody
Unknown Speaker 8:17
after two, after two
Speaker 1 8:19
attempts at an assassination and an assassination, including one where the gun owner was walking around with a gun around with and law enforcement didn't do any enforcement,
Speaker 3 8:28
you know, criticized, so I want to go back to just even getting this. So when they said he was coming here, we had a week's notice. And so for me, it was like, Oh my god. This is awesome. This is great. I mean, he's coming to our county, and because I'm responsible for security, chances are I'm probably going to get to, get to meet him, get to see him. He's coming to Riverside County, the place in California, and he chose this, this is awesome. And then in the next breath, it's in the next breath, holy crap. He's coming to Riverside County, and we have to make sure this, this goes off without a hit, and that he leave. He actually gets to leave. He actually gets to and so and so you look at everything that has happened, and this has happened, and this is even, I mean, it was, it was really, it was, it was, you know, the, you know, the there are a lot of things to say wrong about there are a lot of things to say wrong about the Secret Service. There's a lot of things to say wrong about local law enforcement back then, armchair quarterbacking, armchair but one of the most common was common. How does a guy get a gun into the Presidential rally and nobody does any rally, and nobody does anything, and then, and then, that's really what they got beat up for. The absolute most is a person with a gun and a gun and a president and Secret Service and protection, what a failure you are. Law enforcement. You guys suck. You guys suck. And then so we get to mine. Then, so we get to mine and, and we stop the guy going in with guns, going in with guns and and the Republicans, the Pro two. Way, guys are all bashing me, saying, What a failure you are. You arrested the guy with guns. And it's like so, so. And I saw some of these comments. I didn't comment on any of them, but I read them, and then I looked sometimes into the background of the person posting them, the person and and what would have been the argument? What would all of would all of the the naysayers right now saying how horrible I am, how horrible? What would they have been saying about me? Because I'm assuming they all love Trump, because they all know that Trump is the only presidential, only presidential candidate right now, candidate that is not going to take away your Second Amendment right, your Second Amendment Right? And so have I let, had I left couple 1000 people in with guns into this event and someone killed him, someone, then what were you going to say about me? What were you going to say about me? It is certainly wasn't going to be. He's a pro to a guy, so he gets a pass. So he gets a what? Let's
Speaker 1 10:53
give it a little more context too. Can you shed some light on, some light on I've heard and read, I don't know what's accurate, that he had a fake ID and a fake license. Yeah. So I
Speaker 3 11:05
will tell you. So I will tell you everything that the deputy saw, that the and the deputy heard, and the deputy and and the deputy making that arrest, Deputy making that arrest. So, so this goes back to to the event was not a very secure event. It was in a basically in a field, in a farming community with views from for miles from from any direction, particularly from the south, which a person with a, if you're good enough, with a high caliber rifle, you could have been a mile away, and you could have at least laid out some shots, and we would have never known you were there. So it wasn't ideal. Um, we had two outside. We had two perimeters at this event. One that was like almost a square mile out, where we only let people in that lived there. We only let workers in that were going, it's a farming community, so there were workers, there's there's people living there that you actually do have to drive through there. That's the only people that came through the outer perimeter. Then when you got to the inner perimeter, we made sure where exactly you were going. Do you belong at this event? If you belong at this event, you go this way. If you're going to your houses, we make sure you go to your houses. We make sure you're a worker, whatever the case may be. So he gets to the inner one, and then that's he's about 150 yards away from the absolute hard line stops that are the dogs, the the bomb dogs, the the gun dogs, the the bite dogs, the the Secret Service, the FBI and my deputies with the metal detectors and all of those things that was like, probably 150 yards away from where he was. And so that's the final screening. Do you belong here? Do you should you be here? All of those things? So the deputy learns that he has guns in the car. Pull him out of the car. Where are the guns? He doesn't have them on his person. Guns are in the car. So the deputy gets permission to search his car for the guns, and then, to his credit, he gives it. I mean, that's all great, but, I mean, we had him here anyway. He wasn't going anywhere, and this entire picture that the deputy is learning is the guy says his name, it's different than his driver's license. He's got a fake license plate on his vehicle. Deputy runs the VIN number. It doesn't come back to anything. So now we have a an unlicensed vehicle registered to noone with a fake license plate. The guy gives a name that's different from his driver's license. Then the deputy searching the car finds two guns, multiple multiple boxes of ammo for each weapon, and different passports from different countries in different names and another driver's license with a different name. Deputy says, holy shit, this isn't all good at a presidential rally of a president, that former President that's already two attempts on his life. So Mister Miller, whatever your name is, you're going to jail. We're not You're not going any further. So he's taken into custody Secret Service and FBI are told that we have him, and then he's transported off site to our sheriff's station. Eventually he did not talk. He would not talk to the FBI and the Secret Service, and so he was booked in on gun charges, any of the additional charges, the passports, the the the errors, the Nevada vehicle registration, and all those things those were will be those investigations are for later and for not from me, there's a possibility that they may be filed on by RDA, but it may be, it may also be something bigger, and it may be through Nevada.
Speaker 1 14:51
So just just to kind of, you know, if I'm in this deputy shoes, I'm looking at a bunch of things that don't make sense. You. I'm looking at things that are, I think, I think it's fair to say that there's, there are suspicious things going on. If you have, you know, IDs that don't match, if you have a license plate that isn't real, I think that that would cause suspicion whether or not there was a presidential candidate 150 yards away or not, if, if you have a loaded gun in your car, whether there's you get pulled over, you know, for speeding or anything, I would expect to be arrested in the state of California.
Speaker 3 15:33
And keep in mind that my deputies know that a gun isn't necessarily in itself, anything to be afraid of, because I've got 50,000 people in my county with CCW permits that we all expect have guns in their cars when they get pulled over. So just because he didn't get arrested, just because he had a gun in his car, there were numerous reasons why he got arrested, especially in the state of California,
Speaker 1 16:00
but but things weren't adding up. There was a presidential campaign or, you know, rally yards away. It would, you know, he'd already been, there already been two real potential threats on his life. I guess what I'm saying is, like any piece of this, like, if some guy has a weird belief about his driver's license or his license plate or whatever. You know, if that were the only thing happening, you know that maybe he wouldn't have gotten arrested. Maybe you just will let him go and said, I don't want to deal with this. But all these things together, all these things combined, doesn't equal an anti gun sheriff. 100% 100% and
Speaker 3 16:40
then, and then I have to go back to to the the instructions of going in. There it is. It was on every single person's mind that we are not going to be Butler Pennsylvania. We are not going to allow someone to get into that arena with a gun and do anyone harm. It didn't have to be the president. I mean, the the last place, Butler, yeah, the President was injured, but it was someone else that lost their life. So, I mean, it could have been anyone. I mean, who knows. It could have been me. What if they were after me? What if they were after one of the other speakers? What if anyone? What if it was just to make a just to make an example a terrorist threat, and it was just a large gathering that was going to make a big splash. It didn't have to be an assassination on Trump. So going into this entire thing, we had a zero tolerance policy, if you will. There was, there is no, there's no breaks when someone's trying to get a gun into this event, it's not, oh my gosh, I didn't, I didn't know it. And it wasn't an 80 year old woman that said, Oh my god, I have a CCW, and I completely forgot. And I don't, I don't want it. You know, whatever the case may be, as this comes out. There's, it's more and more fishy than ever. But to say that this is all to say that this is a second amendment thing, it quite honestly, is absolutely ridiculous. And it's it was unbelievably frustrating to me in the very beginning that I was getting more criticism for being anti two a and arresting someone on gun charges than anything else. And it's like, this is just, this is so damn bizarre. Now it isn't even funny, it
Speaker 1 18:28
is, but it's, it's, I think that that's why I wanted to have this conversation, is, I think a lot of people look at California, they look at you know, they don't know you. They don't know your history and what your beliefs are. I have probably have a better understanding. A lot of you know people in Riverside have a much better understanding of who you are and what you believe. That's why I really wanted to shed some light on this. And I mean, if there were no if there is no trump in town, if there is no presidential candidate in town, you're as Pro to a is, I can't think of another sheriff in California that's more pro two, a I can't think of another Sheriff that, you know, supports gun owners, or I can't think of another politician that supports gun owners more in the state of California, where it's extremely difficult to support gun owners. So I really wanted to show that side of you and you know, make sure that people understood better context. What else would you like to clarify? What else would you like to say about the situation? The
Speaker 3 19:23
press conference that we had the next day was because this was getting completely out of hand with, you know, the the assassination attempt, that was all social media, and it was all a group of social media that now that my guys, that that's all our that's all their job is, this is to monitor social media concerning law enforcement, and then we try and get ahead of things as it happens. And it was, it was social media that started the whole First it started, was this, the third attempt. Then it turned into, they just dropped. The was, was this, and all of a sudden, it's a third attempt, because that's more appealing to all these influencers that just. Lot more clicks, and then it turns into poor victim because he's just being victimized by by these California gun laws and these anti two a sheriffs and everything else on people that have no idea what they're even talking about, or what they're or who they're talking about, and so that's why we have the press conference to begin with. So the problem a lot of times, with law enforcement that we're trying to overcome from the from from the last 20 years, is there was a time when law enforcement, you just don't give comments you you comment on nothing that's
Speaker 1 20:36
that's all the context and all the information. I wanted to get out there. I wanted to make sure that people had a better idea of what was seen by the Deputy, what happened with the incident, but also who you are and your relationship and views on the Second Amendment. So I think you covered everything, and I truly appreciate the job that you do. Very good. Thank
Speaker 3 20:57
you. I want to add something, just because we were on a bunch of gun owners. Things for the last week, people that are that are pro to a I think that I think the my haters are typically the left. I have Democrats that like me, but certainly not the the far left progressive, take away your constitutional rights and and destroy America. Left, those are my haters. Those are typically where I get the hate from. And this one came from. This one came from within, almost like the left was sitting back, jumping up and down, saying, Let them. Let them destroy their their two a loving gun toting Maga Sheriff, and they did, or they at least attempted to. Luckily, it didn't. It didn't really take too much of a stronghold in California, although I did see several posts on on social media for from you guys and and other local groups. See people commenting on CRP as posts, and just different things about me and those types of things. And what I want to what I really want to emphasize is rather than us trying to destroy each other all the time, and I'm more to a than you are, and you're not to a enough and and all of this garbage, the truth of where we are right now in elections and all of us fighting amongst each other, and now we're not fighting against the people that are trying to truly take away our Second Amendment rights, because we're fighting amongst each other, or we're attacking people that We really probably shouldn't be attacking, if in California, the registered gun owners voted in 2020 we would still have President Trump as our president. Let that sink in to all of these in and for all of your like your faithful, the the gun owner faithful, whether it's whether it's Inland Empire, or whether it's San Diego, it's not necessarily those, but you have a lot of people on the peripheral that that still comment, that may not be truly members, that are just in their commenting and they want to give their two cents while they're sitting behind their keyboard and with their with their flower profile, so nobody knows who they really are. And the reality of gun owners in California is none of us are registered to vote, and none of us vote. So popular vote Trump only lost by 2 million votes in 2020 and he lost in California by 3 million. So he really won the popular vote in the rest of the county, rest of the country, but California's 3 million deficit lost him the popular vote. And then, of course, it goes to we're we're always blue we, we voted for Biden by the state anyway, so they got all our electoral votes. If all of the gun owners would have voted, all of the electoral votes would have went to Trump and we would have won. There's 6 million of us in California that aren't even registered to vote, but we're but I guarantee you there's a bunch of those 6 million that are criticizing me for for not being pro two a enough for arresting this guy for they're criticizing the government for all these laws that they're passing, but yet none of them are really, truly. All you gotta do is register and vote. And if we all did it, not only would we have a red state, we would still have a red country. And we could do it, California could do it, and we're not we're not concentrating enough on those of us that really could make a difference, that truly do care about our Second Amendment rights, know that our Second Amendment rights are being taken away from us and we don't vote.
Speaker 1 24:50
Well, I think someone told me a while ago, and it's something I think about a lot, know your friends, know your enemies, and know the difference. And I think this is a. Situation where people didn't know the difference. Yeah, and I think that it's a couple of different groups of people that get beat up regularly. Gun owners, we get beat up regularly. So any any perceived threat can result in an overreaction. I think that you as an elected official and a law enforcement officer, you get picked on, you know, on the on a daily basis as well. I, and that's, I really just wanted to have this conversation so that we could all see, hey, you know what? This was a fight against,
Unknown Speaker 25:36
you know, two brothers. This was,
Speaker 1 25:38
you know, an in the family thing, kind of like you, you were saying, and I wanted to make sure that people understood exactly where he stood and what the context of the situation was, you know, I a lot of things happened. They were they were very, very strange. He legitimately broke some laws, whether he knew what the laws were in California or not, whether those laws are constitutional or not. You know, some laws were broken. It was a weird situation. I think that you guys, law enforcement acted the way law enforcement should be expected to act when they're defending a presidential candidate
Unknown Speaker 26:12
who got, you know, there
Speaker 1 26:14
was an assassinate, an assassination attempt twice in two months. I mean, the whole thing makes sense to me. What didn't make sense was, was the this internal fight between a bunch of of gun owners, bunch of people that have the same values. So that's why I wanted to have this. I really, truly appreciate you taking the time, Sheriff. Thank you for all that you do, and thanks for taking the time. Well, absolutely.
Speaker 3 26:35
I mean, you know, we, we've been we've known each other for a long time, and I know the value of what you guys are doing and trying to spread the word, and particularly here in the IE San Diego and everything else. So it's certainly something that I wouldn't say no to anyway, but particularly in this situation, never do that. So I appreciate you. Appreciate you reaching out. Appreciate you having me on.
Unknown Speaker 26:56
Thanks, Sheriff. Yeah, it's, it's,
Speaker 1 26:58
it can get weird here behind enemy lines. So thank you, sir. Appreciate it, Sheriff,
Unknown Speaker 27:04
you bet Have a good one.
Unknown Speaker 27:11
What do you think Alicia?
Unknown Speaker 27:13
When is he running for president?
Speaker 1 27:15
He's a good guy and things, he obviously got very passionate about the idea that he was being painted as anti gun,
Speaker 2 27:22
and the whole history and the information that he gave that wasn't put out in that way, yeah, so think all of the flock that he's getting is from people that are not truly informed. Yeah,
Speaker 1 27:31
you had a guy with a with a non, some kind of weird, non state issued license plate. He had a different name on his driver's license. He had multiple names on multiple passports, right? He had loaded guns, you know, I mean the whole thing. So
Speaker 2 27:52
even, even if you take the guns out of the equation, this Barry needs to go, even
Speaker 1 27:55
you take the gun. But the other thing is, you know, even if there was no Trump rally, if this guy got pulled over and had all that weirdness going on, absolutely, you know, and I don't know, I don't mean to criticize him, maybe he has a totally legitimate reason, but it's not unreasonable to think you're gonna get, you know, in some kind of legal trouble in that situation. So anyway, okay, well, I'm glad everybody enjoyed that. I gotta tell you, Sheriff Bianco is one of my favorites, or maybe my favorite, so I wanted to interview him, and if the beginning of that was a little echoey, we're gonna put that up on the.
