Krampus is an ancient custom

The Krampus is the custom of a frightening creature that comes from Central Europe. He is the companion of St Nicholas and punishes bad children. The Krampus was already known in the 17th century. Over time, Krampus parades were organised in many villages and towns where men dressed up as Krampuses and walked through the village. These parades still take place today, and there are Krampus parades where the men dressed as Krampus lightly whip visitors with branches. In many villages in Austria there are annual Krampus parades in the winter months.
The Krampus looks like a demon-like creature that usually resembles an animal and usually has a long tongue. Do you have similar customs in your country? I would really appreciate a like and a subscription.
Have you ever been to a Krampus parade or would you like to visit one?

I am constantly creating videos about mythical creatures and general facts about animals. I would appreciate your support in the form of likes and subscriptions.
