The Big Picture Soldiers Heritage

Here is a tribute to the veteran; a warm salute to the soldiers (both professional and citizen-soldier alike) who have fought in all of this nation's wars, from the beginning. It is not a concise history of the United States Army, but rather an intimate look at the soldier's participation in that history. Action footage has been obtained from Hollywood which will take the viewer back to the days of the American Revolution. There are scenes that will convey a sense of individual bravery. Others are close-ups of men as they react to the pressures of war... fighting grimly and desperately... falling wounded... aching with weariness... happy in moments of relaxation... frightened in others. This episode in THE BIG PICTURE television series has a personal quality which increases its emotional impact.
