(Uh Oh!) Here Comes A Volcano (explicit) by The Disco Boys (Rare 1970s Disco Record)

Comprised of 2 guys, one white, the other Chinese, The Disco Boys had their one and only hit with the 1 minute track “(Uh Oh) Here Comes A Volcano” in 1978. The track was quite controversial due to the cursing and the subject matter featured in the song, causing it to get very little radio play, and as a result, has become a rare find. I found this copy in a warehouse in Alaska. It was in better condition than some of the other records I’ve found recently. This is another rare track that soul legend Joe Johnson got a chance to write and play on. This track was reportedly inspired by an actual incident that Joe had in a bathroom, so he wrote it and gave it to the struggling duo to record and release, under one condition. He had to play an instrument on it, they agreed and it was a big hit and went all the way up to #2. It was originally supposed to be titled “ Here Comes a Volcano of S**t” but was changed in an attempt to get it past the FCC for radioplay, but was obviously rejected and was almost never played on the radio.
