Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said Thursday that her administration has a “plan” to receive deported Mexicans from the U.S. if President-elect Donald Trump follows through with his plan for the mass deportation of immigrants living in the country illegally.

Sheinbaum added that Mexico intends to show that deportations are unnecessary but did not outline how she plans to do so. Since taking office in October, Sheinbaum has stressed the importance of human rights when dealing with migration.

Trump has vowed to begin mass deportations amid a vast immigration crackdown as soon as he takes office in January.
