One thing I have always tried to center this channel around is keeping everything somewhat budget friendly. When it comes to outdoor gear and especially survival or emergency gear we may feel compelled to want to overspend, or perhaps worse we underspend just to feel like we have "something better than nothing". I hope to show in this video that good quality gear can be handmade or modified by the average user. This has many advantages, as it will help us learn more skills and learn the benefits quality and custom gear over mass produced "stuff" that companies that do not use or participate in the community they sell to. I hope this video inspires those looking to gear up on a budget to try making a few of these items. The pride of ownership and knowledge gained even with failed attempts at making gear is well worth the time invested in my opinion.
