Winter Caretaking Adventures - Week 5: Boat Troubles, Ocean Learning, Caught Some Crab, Setting Up More Trail Cams! 🚤

This week brought its share of challenges and excitement as we continue to immerse ourselves in the wild beauty of the lodge. We hit a few snags with the boat, but after some hands-on troubleshooting, we managed to sort it out! We're still getting the hang of ocean fishing in this new environment, but we’re determined to reel in a couple of fish soon.

Matt took on a new mission—setting out on the kayak to install trail cameras near a salmon river, with hopes of catching bears on camera. The wilderness feels more alive than ever with the wildlife surrounding us!

Stick around for next week’s episode as we embark on a journey to discover a new river, filled with salmon, curious seals, and the elusive Pacific Pine Marten, known to the Haida as K'uuxuu. The raw beauty and energy of this place blew us away—it’s unlike anything we’ve ever experienced.
