After some persistence, we finally got our gas generator up and running. But that wasn’t all—Emilie celebrated her birthday with a perfect day of kayaking on the open water. Just when we thought we’d seen it all, two massive storms rolled in, hitting our bay with full force. Lightning cracked through the night sky, shaking the entire lodge—it was an experience we’ll never forget!
