Announcement: Hobo Speaks Is Now Filo Republic

The Hobo Speaks Podcast never really fit in with it's blog component, Hobo with a Laptop. Different worlds. And I think audiences are less curious about what I think than they are about what life is like in The Philippines, so I'm pivoting into a new format.

Starting next week, this channel will become Filo Republic. Less talking head solo videos, more input from everyday Filipinos about daily life, what they think about Western politics, dating and relationships.

Filipinos will be the star of the show, and I'll take a back seat.

It'll be a hybrid of Whatever Podcast and Fresh and Fit meets Timcast IRL. We'll produce videos with all female panels to talk about dating, and "man in the street" videos to find out what Filipinos think about the West.

Our focus will be different from our Western counterparts. Unlike Whatever and Fresh and Fit, we're determined to prove that Filipino culture is not as toxic as in the West, and perhaps --The Philippines in the new 'shining city on the hill' for digital nomads and passport bros alike.

I've lived in The Philippines for almost a decade --get an authentic look at this beautiful country and it's soulful people.
