Journey Through the Solar System: Our Star, the Sun (1983) | Episode 01

Journey Through the Solar System was a 13-episode documentary series produced by NASA's Lewis Research Center in 1983. Each half-hour episode contained the entirety or clips of older NASA films with framing host footage with Larry Ross, Director of Space Science at Lewis.

In episode 1 of Journey Through the Solar System focuses on our sun. Thousands of pictures taken by Skylab astronauts are examined and used to explain the workings of our Sun. Much new information and understanding of the Sun was gained from the three Skylab flights.
