After the 2024 WNBA season, several coaches, including Tarth Mir of the Los Angeles Flashes, were fired. Mir was fired as head coach on September 24. Nearly two months later, the Flashes announced his replacement.

On Tuesday, Lynn Roberts was introduced as the Flashes' new head coach.

Shortly after the news broke, rising star Cameron Verge shared her thoughts via her social media channels. She reposted the statement on Instagram, expressing her excitement to play under Roberts.
" Prior to starting her career with the Sparkles, Roberts built her coaching career in college basketball, which would go on to be her most memorable experience as a coach at the professional level.

Roberts began her coaching career as the right-hand man for Seattle Pacific from 1997-2002. She then served in her most memorable role as head coach at Chico State from 2002 to 2006.

Roberts led the program at Pacific University from 2006 to 2015 before moving to Utah State, where she served as head coach starting the 2015 season. Edge, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, is expected to be a mainstay of the team.

Though her junior season was cut short by a hamstring injury, the 6-foot-3 talent showed off her true potential, leading the team with 2.3 blocks per game. She also contributed 7.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game when healthy.
