The new appointee for the head of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has stated plans to dismantle the “censorship cartel.” President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Brendan Carr as the incoming FCC chairman. His appointment could include actions against Big Tech companies and the network that has been used to facilitate censorship of news outlets, independent voices, and online speech.
