FINISHING STRONG: Williamson County, Tennessee District 10 resident Bill Petty becomes the newest county commissioner. Judge David Veile installs Petty on November 19, 2024 to a two-year term. Petty won his position at an August GOP convention and then defended his nomination against a Republican who, with the backing of the Establishment, ran against him as an Independent. 60% to 40%. In the November 5th election, Petty received more votes in the district than did President Trump.
