I am told the barricades went up at 3am and work started at about 6am. They were held up for 3 hours by Roy, who drove his invalid carriage into the work area behind a bus, but aside from that, they were able to work without any real further interruption for the rest of the day. It makes me wonder why the road was going to be closed for 2 weeks if this is the only bit they were going to be doing all along.
