Today marks a significant milestone as I attend the Ghanaian Naturalization Swearing-in Ceremony at the Accra International Conference Center. This event is a formal and highly symbolic process during which individuals who have met the requirements for Ghanaian citizenship are officially granted this status. As part of the ceremony, I will join others in taking the oath of allegiance, a solemn pledge to uphold the laws and values of Ghana, while embracing the responsibilities that come with this honor.

As someone with roots in the African diaspora, becoming a Ghanaian citizen holds profound meaning.
